Welcome!

Welcome to the Passionate Sight Reader blog

My name's Kevi and I am a passionate sight reader!

I was fortunate enough to study sight reading for 2 years with Professor Boris Berlin of the Royal Conservatory of Music. He was the author of most of the method books for sight reading in the 60s and 70s.

Sight reading is why I play piano today. I love the challenge of a new composer, style or genre.

I sight read 4 hours every day. Each day i create a new Playlist for myself with various challenges.

I decided to post a snippet of my daily program to this blog not just to give myself a record over time as my sight reading continues to improve, but to give some tips and (hopefully) inspiration to any of you who are looking to improve your own note reading.

You're questions, comments or requests are also welcome, so please ask away!

Thanks for joining me.
